ANEMIA DISORDERS
Including:
Iron Deficiency Anemia
Celiac Disease (gluten intolerance)
Pernicious Anemia
Sickle Cell Anemia
Aplastic Anemia
Hemolytic Anemia
Thalassemia Anemia
The Associated Press in a news article
reported that Americans spent 6 Billion 400 Million dollars in 2003 on the 2
most popular anemia drugs. That figure does not include the less popular drugs
or the additional medications needed to counter the side effects of the original
drugs.

He, who does not know how to listen, hears only noise."

One might consider anemia disorders as incurable but controllable. So, take a
few minutes and learn how "fermented tea" can be beneficial in controlling
anemia symptoms and improving "quality of life".
Anemia in general is classified as a decrease in hemoglobin or in having a lower
number of red blood cells than normal. Your blood is then less effective in
transporting oxygen from the lungs to the tissues and carbon dioxide from the
tissues to the lungs.
It can also be caused by loss of blood due to heavy menstrual periods or
internal bleeding caused by a peptic ulcer, gastric erosion, stomach ulcer,
cancer of the large intestine or hemorrhoids. An inadequate diet is sometimes
the blame if one is not getting enough iron and vitamins. Iron is an essential
component of hemoglobin and if you lose more iron than you are able to absorb
from your diet, anemia develops.
Common symptoms may include: pale skin, fatigue, weakness, fainting,
breathlessness and palpitations. It also weakens your body's resistance to
illnesses or injuries and puts additional stress on your heart and lungs.
Iron Deficiency Anemia is caused by inadequate stores of iron in the body. Iron
is the central component of hemoglobin and iron deficiency is the most common
form of anemia. The principal causes are inadequate iron in the diet and
insufficient iron absorption during digestion. Women are particularly prone to
the disease because of blood loss during menstruation and pregnancy and
lactating. It is estimated to occur in 1 of 5 non pregnant women of child
bearing age and in 50% of pregnant women. Only 3% of men are affected.
Hemolytic Anemia develops when your red blood cells are destroyed more quickly
than they normally would be. The condition may be hereditary or can be acquired
later in life. In the hereditary type, a specific enzyme needed by the red blood
cells is deficient. As a result, the cells become less able to protect
themselves against adverse effects of a particular drug treatment or infection.
In the acquired type, your body produces antibodies that destroy its own red
blood cells. Hemolysis may also occur after a blood transfusion or artificial
heart valves are installed. Abnormal blood vessel walls, toxins or certain
snakebite venoms can cause it.
Celiac disease aka gluten intolerance, gluten-sensitive enteropathy, and
nontropical sprue, is a disorder in which the lining of the small intestine is
damaged by an immune reaction to gluten, a protein found in grains, such as
wheat, rye and barley. Also referred to as an allergic reaction to gluten. This
leads to mal-absorption. The small intestine simply cannot properly absorb
nutrients. Special dieting can be an important part of treatment. Celiac disease
symptoms are about the same as with other anemia disorders including pale skin,
fatigue, weakness, fainting, breathlessness and palpitations. In children,
malnutrition may result causing delayed growth and failure to thrive. There is
also an increased rate of intestinal cancer among individuals who have celiac
disease.
Medicine cures three tenths, diet cures seven tenths.
From China
Pernicious anemia is caused by a B12 deficiency and primarily occurs after age
40. It often occurs in older people who do not eat a well-balanced diet,
pregnant women and is very common in alcoholics. It sometimes runs in families.
Once your ability to absorb vitamin B12 through the digestive tract has been
lost, it can never be regained. You will need to take B12 for life either by
injection or some oral form.
Sickle cell anemia is an inherited disease whereby the red blood cells contain
abnormal hemoglobin. These abnormal blood cells do not flow smoothly thru the
capillaries and smaller blood vessels. They may form a clog and prevent blood
from reaching the tissues. Symptoms include; episodes of pain in the bones and
abdomen, blood clots in the lungs, kidneys, brain and most other organs. Leg
ulcers and painful bone problems are also common.
Thalassemia is an inherited defect that prevents the formation of normal amounts
of hemoglobin A which is the type hemoglobin found in the red blood cells of
adults. The full blown form of the disorder is called thalassemia major and is
also called beta thalassemia. The symptoms are failure to grow, severe anemia,
jaundice, chronic leg ulcers, a mongoloid appearance, delayed sexual development
and mental retardation.
If treatment includes repeated blood transfusions, eventually a buildup of iron
in the body could damage the liver or heart. A treatment is now available to
remove the excess iron buildup.
Aplastic anemia is caused by a decrease in production of blood cells by your
bone marrow. The condition is usually caused by exposure to a toxic substance
such as benzene or radiation. Most anti-cancer drugs produce similar problems
but usually when treatment is halted the condition improves. Those with aplastic
anemia are more susceptible to infections, spontaneous bruising, red spots on
the skin and bleeding from the nose, mouth and other sites.
We have a certain responsibility to keep our bodies in good health,
as far as it lies within our power to do so…as a loan from God.
Although some anemia conditions involve hereditary traits, in general they are
caused by vitamin and mineral deficiencies resulting in malnourished blood cells
or inadequate digestion.

Being stupid, is believing you know enough.

provides information on great products and where to buy them that specifically
target many of the conditions that affect "modern man" today. Drinking
Kombucha on a regular basis also may very well be the most important thing you
can do to regain and maintain good health.
American industrialized medicine is focused on treating symptoms. The Oriental
approach is to cure the disorder or to prevent it from occurring in the first
place. The very idea that drinking tea will relieve or prevent an anemia
disorder probably sounds unbelievable to many people.

Kombucha is an ancient remedy for modern man's ills. It is an Oriental fermented
tea remedy that can be traced back to 400 B.C. where it originated in an area we
know today as Korea. It is perfectly safe, without harmful side effects, and has
been used by Emperors, Czars and even an American President. In the 1980s our
President was being treated for Cancer and metastases (spreading of cancer
cells) developed. A culture was brought in from Japan and Kombucha was
incorporated into his treatment. He survived and lived well into his nineties.
So what can Kombucha "fermented tea" do for those with an anemia disorder?
First of all, Kombucha is an adaptogen, in that it balances processes that get
out of order. It might raise blood pressure for someone that has low pressure or
lower blood pressure for someone with high pressure. This property might be
helpful in those cases where blood cells are being malformed or not being
produced at a normal level.
It also nourishes at the cellular membrane level and for some, might be
effective in preventing premature dying off of blood cells.
Kombucha is a super detoxifier. It seems to be the biological equivalent of STP
gas treatment, carburetor cleaner and radiator flush all rolled into one. It
works at the cellular and molecular level pulling toxins and dead cells out.
Glucuronic acid (GA) then binds them in the liver so that they can be eliminated
via your urine. Toxins and waste materials bound by GA cannot be reabsorbed by
the intestines or the urinary system. This detoxification and flushing promotes
a healthier bladder, liver and pancreas and should be especially beneficial for
those with aplastic anemia.
Properly fermented tea is also the same pH as the stomach fluids are supposed to
be. It therefore helps balance stomach juices so they are not too acidic or too
alkaline. Several important acids are in the tea which coupled with balanced pH
create a hostile environment for pathogens. If pathogens can't thrive and
multiply, there is less chance of infections.
Kombucha is a living tea containing friendly bacteria and beneficial yeasts (not
to be confused with the Candida variety). It is very beneficial in nourishing
intestinal flora and is helpful in maximizing the digestive processes. The
nutrients in your food are assimilated better and are then carried to all parts
of your body by your circulatory system. When a diet eliminates a major part of
a food group you run the risk of missing out on essential trace elements and
micro nutrients. Even those on special diets such as gluten free foods should
have improved nutritional benefits. Better nutrition…more energy….better health.
There are trace amounts of Iron and B12 in the tea which is easy for the body to
assimilate since it is in liquid form. For those with too much Iron in their
system it is reasonable to assume the tea would be effective in eliminating the
excess because of its normalizing and adaptogen properties.
Since Kombucha sometimes enhances the effectiveness of other medications, it is
important to keep your health provider informed so dosage can be adjusted
accordingly if necessary.
Since 1977 I have had pernicious anemia requiring monthly injections of B12
vitamins. Before my condition was detected I would get numb from the soles of my
feet up to my knees. The B12 shots would help the numbness go away except the
soles of my feet remained numb and felt like wood. My Doctor said get used to it
since the nerves ends were probably too damaged to ever recover. I also learned
to live with the rash around my ankles (a side effect of the shots). I started
drinking Kombucha daily
One night I woke up with a stinging pain in my toes. The next morning I suddenly
noticed I could feel the carpet fibers under my feet which I hadn't felt before.
Later that week my soles were back to normal. The numb feeling and rash have
both disappeared now and not returned.
Americans adults consume about 5 pounds of chemical additives each year that the
food industry puts in our food to preserve it, make it look prettier, taste
better etc etc. Also there is the chemically altered fats problem. We know what
we like, we want it fast and we want it year round. Doesn't it stand to reason
that if we flush the gunk out of systems and organs and provide nourishment at
the cellular level that our body can better heal and improved health will soon
follow?
Kombucha by itself
doesn't cure anything.
It simply nourishes at the cellular level so that your
marvelous body can heal itself.
It costs only about $5 a month since you brew the tea yourself. About 1 or 2
hours a month is needed for the brewing and cleanup. It's also simple. If you
can bake a Duncan Hines cake then you too can be a Master Brewmeister.
